Fantastic day had on Sunday at the long exposure meet up at Crosby with the guys from Shoot mirrorless. A great group of like minded people with same interest of using mirrorless camera systems(Fujifilm, Olympus, Sony etc.).
Meeting on the car park at Crosby beach at 2.30pm with plenty of camera talk and coffee, then heading down on to the beach with our cameras, tripods and Nd filters to get some long exposure shots of The Another Place sculptures by Antony Gormley. If you haven't seen the sculptures they are a sight to behold, 100 life size cast iron figures appearing on the beach as the tide goes out.
As the tide went out everyone set up there cameras at various points to try and get some long exposer shots, quite a difficult task as you could see tripods sinking into the sand, and, at this point as water soak into my shoes realising that wellies would probably have been a good idea!!
Plenty of really good photographers there to help out with tips, advice and equipment for anyone who hadn't done much long exposure before.
All in all a great day. Lovely weather, great company, great conversation, good coffee and the odd photograph taken as well..who could ask for more!!
If you're interested in talking, coffee drinking, taking photographs and mirrorless cameras, or would like to know more about mirrorlesss cameras, then come along and join us at the next free Shoot Mirrorless meet up at Penmon on Anglesey on Sunday 29th May!!
